💳Storage costs & how to save
There a number of ways to pay for the permanent storage of your NFT assets depending on how you upload the assets and if you're on a free or subscription plan.
All users get 100 MB on signup, giving them enough permanent storage to test out workflows. Akord is the only project in the Arweave ecosystem to offer free storage.
Pay as you go
If you're using the app to upload assets with a free account, then you can buy storage in 1 GB top ups. Go to the Storage screen and click Top up in the top right.
The current cost is $12 per GB.
Save 25% with a subscription
Subscribers get 25% off their top ups – 1 GB is only $9.
If, for example, you need 3 GB of storage or more, it is more cost effective to subscribe and top up with the discount. The subscription can be cancelled at any time.
Using the API
If you're using the API, then you'll have 200 uploads per day with a free account.
You can subscribe to the Boulder plan and get 20,000 uploads per day for $7 per month. The subscription can be cancelled at any time.
